WHO WE ARE
Rooted in Philadelphia.
Growing for the Future.
Friends Grow Philly Foundation is a Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) public charity bringing people, resources, and partnerships together to strengthen communities.
Our work connects urban agriculture, food access, youth development, education, volunteer service, and neighborhood improvement. Through hands-on programs and community partnerships, we create opportunities for residents to grow food, develop skills, serve their neighborhoods, and help build healthier, stronger communities.
We believe lasting community change grows from investing in plants, people, places, and possibilities.

MARSHALL STREET GARDEN
Our roots are here.
Marshall Street Garden is the flagship community garden of Friends Grow Philly Foundation, with roots reaching back to the 1980s when Robert Jacobs began cultivating this Philadelphia neighborhood space.
Today, the garden brings that legacy forward through urban agriculture, fresh-food production, seedling distribution, volunteer service, education, and community partnerships.
A garden built by family. Growing for the community.
